What is quick-drying fabric
Quick-drying fabrics generally refer to fabrics synthesized from chemical fibers or polyester fibers, which are divided into five types: polypropylene fiber, polyester fiber, COOLMAX, MONY-DRY, and ACTIVENT. There are some subtle differences between the different types. But in general, quick-drying fabrics have some of the same characteristics. There are usually two types of quick-drying fabrics, one is not waterproof, but can wick away perspiration and quick-drying after being wet, and the other is waterproof, and the moisture permeability changes according to changes in body temperature.
Advantages and disadvantages of quick-drying fabrics
Advantages: The quick-drying fabric has better breathability and perspiration. The quick-drying function keeps the inner fabric at room temperature and dry, avoiding the discomfort of sweating, and can also reduce the risk of colds and fevers caused by prolonged wet clothes. At the same time, it has good abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance, which is suitable for outdoor activities, exercises, or wearing in summer when it is easy to sweat.
Disadvantages: Compared with some high-comfort fabrics, quick-drying fabrics are slightly less skin-friendly, and the wearing experience is not the best.
Which is better for quick-drying fabric or pure cotton
Quick-drying fabrics and pure cotton fabrics have their own advantages and disadvantages on different occasions. The quick-drying fabric wicks perspiration and is breathable, which is more suitable for outdoor activities than pure cotton. But in a scene like home, the softness and comfort of pure cotton fabrics are beyond the reach of quick-drying fabrics. Therefore, which fabric is better depends on the wearing occasion and personal needs and preferences.
