According to recent statistics from the General Administration of Customs, from January to July this year, the country’s textile and apparel exports totaled US$168.35 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.7% (down 0.9% in RMB terms), and the growth rate was 4.4 percentage points lower than that in the first half of the year. Among them, textile exports were US$80.25 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 10.8% (17.9% in RMB terms); clothing exports were US$88.10 billion, a year-on-year increase of 32.9% (in RMB terms, a year-on-year increase of 22.2%).
In July, my country's textile and apparel exports to the world were 28.27 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 9.5% (in RMB, a year-on-year decrease of 18.1%). Among them, textile exports were 11.70 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 26.7% (in RMB terms, a year-on-year decrease of 33.6%), but an increase of 8.6% over the same period before the epidemic (2019). In July, my country's clothing exports continued to maintain a good growth trend. The export value of the month was 16.58 billion US dollars, an increase of 8.3% year-on-year (in RMB, a year-on-year decrease of 2.0%) and a month-on-month increase of 9.4%
